National Historic Parks - Parcels within National Historic Parks
County Parks and Trails (Existing and Future)Chester County Parks & Recreation Dept. site locations derived from county parcels layer with multi-parcel sites merged into single parcels on 4/10/06. Fields providing site name, two- or three-letter facility code, and status of full public access are included.
Parcels of land, including trails that are owned in-fee by a municipality and are currently open to the public for recreation.
Parcels of land that are owned in-fee by a municipality and are either natural preserves, woodland and other passive recreational facilities, or are future recreational areas that are not yet open to the public. Municipal property such garages, vacant land, or lawns around public buildings are not protected open space.
Agricultural Land Preservation Board (ALPB) Easements. Parcels of farmland that have been protected from development by easements funded by the ALPB using state, county or local funding.
Home Owner Association (HOA) Protected Open Space. Parcels of land that have been developed and are owned-in fee by a Homeowners association. Parcels that are not yet developed, but will be developed, are not a form of protected open space and are not included in this category even if the owner of record is an HOA.
Parcels of land that are protected by development because they are owned-in-fee by a landowner who for all practical purposes will never develop the land. This category includes all forms of in-fee protected open space that does not specifically fit into the other categories. Examples are: State Game Lands, State Fish and Boat Commission lands, State Forests, County property that is Undedicated future parkland, municipally-owned golf courses, and lands owned by the County Water Resources Authority.
Managed Lands with Public Sector Easements. Parcels of land that are protected by development because they are eased by an organization that for all practical purposes will never develop the land. This category includes all forms of eased open space that does not specifically fit into the other categories. Examples are: County funded spray and drip irrigation fields and parcels eased by the County Water Resources Authority.
Parcels Owned in Fee by Land Trusts.
Municipal Purchase of Development Rights
Parcels of land that are protected by development because they are owned-in-fee by a landowner who for all practical purposes will never develop the land. This category includes all forms of in-fee protected open space that does not specifically fit into the other categories. Examples are: State Game Lands, State Fish and Boat Commission lands, State Forests, County property that is Undedicated future parkland, municipally-owned golf courses, and lands owned by the County Water Resources Authority.
