The Utility Service Area was adopted by the Missoula City Council under Resolution 8468 on November 4th, 2020. Only properties located within the adopted Utility Service Area can be provided water and wastewater services by the City of Missoula. Inclusion of properties in the Utility Service Area does not guarantee that those properties will be provided with water and/or wastewater service. Water and wastewater mains are not available to all properties. The cost of extending those mains, including all related fees, are the requirement of those requesting the service. Water and wastewater services will not be provided to properties in designated floodplains without the express written approval of the Public Works Director.
