Broward County Emergency Points of Distribution (PODs). These are the distribution sites for food, water, etc, approved by the respective municipalities, that could possibly be activated in case of power outage due to large storm events. The decision to activate specific PODS is made by the Broward EOC following a storm event. The field [RANK] listst the "primary" or main PODS for the city, while "alternate" indicates a backup site in case the first site was destroyed. The staging is where the State brings supplies for distribution to City PODS, not where the general public can get supplies.
