Description: County Administration has requested that Real Property and Real Estate Development Division create a user friendly dashboard to show the different types of properties in Broward County. This dashboard should have the option of selecting the property type or types that will be included in the search. Attached are the Use Codes (property types) for the property to be included into a dashboard (those highlighted in yellow are the primary property types to be used and those in aqua are the secondary property types to be used). In addition to just locating these property types on a map, our goal is to also be able to link each parcel to the Broward County Property Appraiser’s (BCPA) to be able to show the data sheet on each parcel as well as to show the BCPA’s zoomed in map of the property with the property’s boundaries highlighted. Also, in the County owned properties we will need the ability to further sub-categorize a parcel. An example is: where Aviation and the Port has some property totally owned by the County and other properties where federal or enterprise funds have been used in part or whole to purchase the property; where Public Works has vacant property that has been earmarked for future use. In summary, the property types that will be searchable are: • Vacant properties that are owned by the County, local municipalities, State or Federal Government…or any combination of the four ownerships • Properties that are owned by the County, local municipalities, State or Federal Government that are not suitable for use…or any combination of the four ownerships • Public Schools • Hospitals • Churches • Vacant institutional land • Vacant Residential land • Transitional Housing • Low end housing • Vacant commercial land • Municipal golf courses • Vacant industrial land • Vacant government leasehold property • Water and sewer service property • Conservation easements • County Public Works and utility properties • Solid waste properties
