Name: Fire Geoprox Blocks by Inspection District

Display Field: EditorName

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description:

This layer contains the data for the fire geoproximity in the City of Round Rock, located in Williamson County, Texas. This layer is part of an original dataset provided and maintained by the City of Round Rock GIS/IT Department and the Planning and Development Services Department. The data in this layer are represented as polygons.

Geoproximity is defined as how close something is to something else geographically. This data layer incorporates the Round Rock fire districts in a way that shows which stations are closest to smaller, individual areas throughout the city. Each fire district also has a response order, put in place so that in case a station assigned to the district where there is an emergency is busy, the next closest station will be able to respond to the emergency.
