Description: This dataset contains an adopted update to the NIST-WindMaps: ASCE 7-16 Risk Category IV Basic Wind Speed Maps - Final Combined_Pintar_2014-01-29 (m_c_3000yr) for the State of Florida. The new ASCE 7-16 Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures (Standard) is adopted into the 2018 International Building Code (IBC). The 2018 IBC and the referenced Standard are being adopted by a few jurisdictions and will become more widely used in 2019. The Florida Building Commissionadopted changes to the Florida ASCE 7-16 Risk Category IV Basic Wind Speed Map on June 2nd, 2020. These changes include wind speed line location updates in the Florida Big Bend Region. The updates/shift affect the 140mph and 130mph wind speed lines. At this time; it is noted that these changes were set to occur in the ASCE 7-22 update and were adopted early by the State of Florida. For more information on changes please see the following:ASCE 7-16 Wind Provisions Changes Affecting the Design Provisionshttps://static1.squarespace.com/static/5c3faa364eddecdc367bedc5/t/5d695aa258a8480001741e94/1567185613786/02+ASCE+7-16+Wind+Provisions+Changes+Affecting+the+Design+Provisions.pdf
