Service Description: This dataset was first developed in January of 2019 and is processed and updated quarterly as part of the CTP Process Improvement Initiative at NCDOT. This dataset supports the development of long-range Comprehensive Transportation Plans (CTPs) and Metropolitan Transportation plans (MTPs) initiated by the Transportation Planning Division in partnership with the Geographic Information Systems Unit of NCDIT. Provide all currently-inventoried NC bridge structures in one consistent format for query and display.

Point file representing North Carolina bridges and other structures, extracted and attributed by the NCDOT Bridge Maintenance Unit's bridge database.

Datasets developed under the CTP Process Improvement initiative are system-wide data and require verification prior to use. These datasets are compiled and grouped from numerous authoritative sources previously verified by the NCDOT Atlas initiative, to be used in long-range planning and project development in State of the North Carolina by its planning partners and resource agencies.
