Description: <span>This service provides the point dataset representing field sites associated with the </span>NCDOT Research Program. This layer serves to display and highlight locations across the state where activities related to NCDOT research projects are occurring. These can include various forms of research and development, from materials testing and implementation to stakeholder engagement to process modeling and assessment. Since its inception, the NCDOT Research Project program, has supported more than 500 research projects with colleges, universities and other organizations to promote and fund research deemed important for NCDOT-related work. The dataset was developed by faculty and students from the Department of Environmental, Earth and Geospatial Sciences at North Carolina Central University as part of a NCDOT research project 2022-21.
