Description: Feature Service represents the approximate centroid of Railroad Valuation Maps on file at the NCDOT Rail Division. Railroad Valuation maps are historic maps that show railroad property boundaries. Current railroad property information should be confirmed with railroad operators. Data is intended for general reference and should not be used for analysis.

Fields

Map ID (Map_ID: Unique ID assigned to the Valuation Map
Map Type (Map_Type): The type of Valuation Map
Map Date (Map_Date): The date of most recent update as listed on the Valuation Map.
Historic Railroad (Hist_RR): Operator of track as listed on Valuation Map.
Active Railroad Code (Active_RR): FRA code of current railroad operator of track on which point is located, if applicable.
Active Railroad (Active_RR_Long): Current railroad operator of track on which point is located, if applicable.
Owner (Owner): Current owner of railroad line on which point is located, if applicable.
Line (Line): Current branch of track on which point is located, if applicable.
Milepost Start (MP_St): Lowest milepost value of track on valuation map, if applicable.
Milepost End (MP_End): Highest milepost value of track on valuation map, if applicable.
City (City): City, town, or municipality of point location, as listed on valuation map, if applicable.
County1 (County1): The primary county, one that occupies the greatest amount of space on valuation map.
County2 (County2): The secondary county on valuation map.
County3 (County3): The tertiary county on valuation map.
Latitude (Latitude): Calculated latitude of point in decimal degrees.
Longitude (Longitude): Calculated longitude of point in decimal degrees.
Hyperlink (Hyperlink): Link to valuation map file in .TIF format.
