Description:

California is always experiencing earthquakes - there are hundreds every week - though most are not strong enough to be felt by those living there.

This scene shows where they occurred for the week of 24th September 2014 to 1st October 2014, and includes a thematic depiction of their magnitude. Popup information for each earthquake also provides a link to more information on the USGS earthquake site.

The symbols are both colored (yellow to red) and sized based on their relative strength.
