Service Description: This layer represents the outer range boundary of the Panama City crayfish (Procambarus econfinae) which is endemic to Bay County, Florida. The outer boundary consists of the boundaries of North Bay, St Andrew Bay, Callaway Bayou, Callaway Creek, Lawton Branch, unnamed creek north of Lawton Branch, unnamed creek south of Bayou George, and Bayou George. Used NHD data for the creek linework. The PCC is not found in deep water and these natural features (bays, creeks) act as a boundary for their distribution. Note: for North Bay and St Andrew Bay, the linework goes in the middle of the bays vs shorelines, thus this boundary includes water bodies. This layer is useful for clipping other data layers. The Panama City crayfish is currently listed as Threatened under the Endangered Species Act (federal).
