Description: The United States census Bureau Table "B16001 Language Spoken At Home by Ability To Speak English for the Population 5 Years and Older" provides Estimates and Margins of Error for many different languages and language families by two different language abilities- The population that speaks another language and who also speaks English "very well", and the population that speaks another language but speaks English "less than very well". In order to comply with the voting Rights Act of 1965, and to provide the best possible service to our voters the Registrar Recorder will use this data to ensure relevant vote center locations are staffed by election board members who speak the required language. This table can also be split by age group, which is what we have done in order to focus on the voting age population. This map and data excludes those in penal institutions, mental institutions, and homes for the elderly.
