Description: This indicator provides information about the geographic locations of petroleum refineries and includes oil refineries and oil terminals overseen by the California Energy Commission in Los Angeles County. All records include facility operator name, refinery type, address, city, zip code, and latitude and longitude coordinates.

Living near an oil refinery can pose health risks due to emissions and pollutants released into the air and water. Understanding the health risks related to oil refineries is important so that individuals and policymakers can advocate for cleaner and safer living environments for nearby communities.
