Description:

This layer is a copy of the City and Community Boundary layer and contains selected unincorporated boundary changes that may result from the following area plan updates: East San Gabriel Valley, South Bay, San Fernando Valley, West San Gabriel Valley, Westside. These changes can include modified boundaries, community name changes, or both.

Unincorporated communities updated:

Whittier Narrows (eastern portion) split into three new communities: Pellissier Village, South El Monte (unin), and North Whittier. East San Gabriel Valley Area Plan - adopted by the Board of Supervisors on 5/21/24.
Del Aire -> Split by El Segundo Blvd - Del Aire to the north, and Wiseburn to the south. South Bay Area Plan - updated 9/7/23
Alondra Park -> Alondra Park / El Camino Village; Westfield -> Westfield / Academy Hills. Name change only for these two communities. South Bay Area Plan - updated 11/6/23.
West Fox Hills -> Del Rey. Westside Area Plan - updated 9/18/24.

NOTE: These boundary changes are not effective until these Area Plan Updates get adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
