Description: This is one of four layers to be used to determine eligibility for CEQA Streamlining. This data is generated by SCAG’s regional travel demand model for the year of 2012. Per capita VMT (Vehicle Miles Travelled) for each TAZ was calculated based on vehicle travel for home-based purpose. Low VMT TAZs are identified for those TAZs with per capita VMT lower than regional average (average of the entire SCAG region (LA, Ventura, San Bernardino, Imperial, Riverside and Orange Counties). Each TAZ is identified as to whether it is unincorporated or not (however, it should be noted that a TAZ can be in more than one jurisdiction).
