Description: Alpine and tundra habitat identified as Key Habitat in the Nevada Wildlife Action Plan (2012). These data were derived from the USGS Southwest Regional GAP landcover dataset and crosswalked to fit the ecological framework of the Wildlife Action Plan. These data represent the following SWReGAP ecological systems: Rocky Mountain Alpine Bedrock and Scree; Meditterrranean California Alpine Bedrock and Scree; and Rocky Mountain Dry Tundra. These data represent The Nature Conservancy Alpine biophysical setting. These data are not an exhaustive representation of Nevada alpine and tundra habitats, and should only serve as a point of reference for habitat and wildlife conservation planning.
