Description: Cliffs and canyons habitat identified as Key Habitat in the Nevada Wildlife Action Plan (2012). These data were derived from the USGS Southwest Regional GAP landcover dataset and crosswalked to fit the ecological framework of the Wildlife Action Plan.
These data represent the following SWReGAP ecological systems:
Barren Lands, Non-Specific;
Recently Mined or Quarried; and
Recently Burned.
The Nature Conservancy did not develop a biophysical setting for this key habitat type.
These data are not an exhaustive representation of Nevada barren landscapes habitats, and should only serve as a point of reference for habitat and wildlife conservation planning.
