Description: Inter-mountain rivers and streams identified as Key Habitat in the Nevada Wildlife Action Plan (2012). These data were derived from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration major rivers of the United States database with additional data from the BLM rivers and streams dataset. These data represent the Rocky Mountain Subalpine-Montane Riparian Shrubland, Rocky Mountain Subalpine-Montane Riparian Woodland, Great Basin Foothill and Lower Montane Riparian Woodland and Shrubland, Intermountain Rivers, and Intermountain Streams SWReGAP ecological systems.
No TNC biophysical setting was developed for this key habitat type.
These data are not an exhaustive representation of Nevada inter-mountain river and stream habitats, nor are they intended to delineate specific riparian habitats associated with rivers and streams. These data only serve as a point of reference for habitat and wildlife conservation planning.
