Description: Marshes identified as Key Habitat in the Nevada Wildlife Action Plan (2012). These data were derived from the USGS Southwest Regional GAP landcover dataset and crosswalked to fit the ecological framework of the Wildlife Action Plan.
These data represent the following SWReGAP ecological systems:
Southern Rocky Mountain Montane-Subalpine Grassland;
Mediterranean California Subalpine Meadow;
Rocky Mountain Subalpine Mesic Meadow;
North Pacific Montane Grassland; and
Intermountain Basis Semi-Desert Grasslands.
These data represent The Nature Conservancy High Elevation Meadow biophysical setting.
These data are not an exhaustive representation of Nevada marsh habitats, and should only serve as a point of reference for habitat and wildlife conservation planning.
