Description: Aquifer Protection Permits are required for facilities that discharge pollutants directly into an aquifer or land surface, where there is a reasonable probability that the pollutant will reach an aquifer. This layer describes such facilities with Aquifer Protection Permits as indicated by active Self Monitoring Reporting Forms (SMRF). This layer is sourced from azurite through the generate-shp workflow. It's query starts by selecting rows from the Monitoring Requirements table of type 65 and 85, which represent the facilities that have Self Monitoring Reports (SMRF) enabled. This pares the query down to only the permits in the groundwater VS. Similarly, the Monitoring Results Table is joined in, and filtered down to Groundwater Permits where the monitoring is currently active. This eliminates old or no longer relevant permits / facilities. Finally, the intermediate table is joined to the ltf query, license application and license category tables. These tables have various facility information, such as Latitude/Longitude, permit status, licensee information etc. There are no additional filters on any of the join tables. This layer is intended as a resource of public transparency and is updated daily. Post-query, the dataset is spatially enabled and reprojected to the NAD83 UTM Zone 12 N Projection (wkid: 26912).
