Description: Arizona Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Individual Permits are for municipal, domestic and non-domestic (industrial) discharges of pollutants to a surface water that fits the definition of “waters of the U.S.” as described in the Clean Water Act. This dataset provides location and permit information for AZPDES individual permitted facilities throughout Arizona. It is provided to ensure transparency and accessibility for the public and is owned by the Water Quality Divisions AZPDES Program. Data is sourced from the azurite database via a materialized view and oracle spatial. The query begins by selecting active permits from the ltf license applications and wct monit reqset tables and then pulls relevant information such as license id, permit date, etc. from the lft license applications and categories tables. Finally, the query is pared down to only include ltf_permit categories associated with AZPDES. Importantly, this final step requires regular communication with the BIT team to ensure that the appropriate category codes are present within the query.Dataset is refreshed nightly by regenerating the materialized view.
