Description: This dataset shows Aquifer Protection Permits exceeding either the Discharge Limit (DL) or Aquifer Quality Limit (AQL) according to Self Mornitoring Reporting Form (SMRF) data in Arizona for use in the My Community applications. Aquifer Protection Permits (APP) are issued to control the discharge of pollutants from sewage treatment facilities, septic tanks, mining operations, and other industrial facilities to protect Arizona's groundwater. APPs establish specific discharge limits and monitoring and reporting requirements. They may also require facilities to undertake special measures to protect human health and the environment from harmful pollutants.
These limits are monitored through the Self-Monitoring Reporting Form (SMRF), which is required to be submitted to ADEQ either quarterly, semi-annually, or annually depending on APP requirements |
