LOW POVERTY INDEX
Summary
The low poverty index captures poverty in a given
neighborhood. The index is based on the poverty rate (pv).
The mean and standard error
are estimated over the national distribution.
The poverty rate is determined at the census tract
level.
Interpretation
Values are inverted and percentile ranked nationally. The resulting values range from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the less exposure to poverty in a neighborhood.
