Description:

Provides grantee information for the first round of Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) formula funding (referred to as NSP1) allowed under Title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) of 2008.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) provides emergency assistance to state and local governments for the acquisition and redevelopment of foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within their communities.

The Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) of 2008, under Title III, provided a first round of formula funding to States and units of general local government (UGLG), and is referred to as NSP1. For the first round of funding HUD awarded grants to a total of 309 grantees including the 55 states, territories, and selected local governments to stabilize communities hardest hit by foreclosures and delinquencies.
