Service Description: Feature class holding linked attribute tables for the ASK Knowledge Portal (formerly the Annotated Bibliography). Published from "CIBR Master ArcGIS Project.aprx". Upgraded version now uses GlobalIDs as the relationships to ensure the data may be edited using ArcGIS Survey 123, Field Maps, and other tools on the ArcGIS Experience Builder. This enables a more simple and guided data entry process than the previous approach.

Description:

The layer resourcesFeatures contains one record per shape (or multi-part shape) and is identified by its resourceID field.  This feature class is linked to various attribute tables contained within.  Linked tables are used because each type of attribute may have zero to many individual values, and all must be linked to the single resourcesFeatures shape.  The resourcesFeatures field “GlobalID” links to attribute table field “parentglobalid.”  Original basis for the relationships is the resourceID field, manually entered or automatically generated by users when they create a new feature.  The resourcesID is the human-readable “company” relationship while the GlobalID and parentglobalid are the permanent, globablly unique identifiers required by online services in ArcGIS.  Origin of this feature class layer was a Google Sheets spreadsheet containing hand-entered attribute data.  From this sheet, n=141 resource entries were created.  Approximately 30 of these resource entries had associated polygons digitized by the time this feature class was published.  The remaining existing entries need to be edited and linked manually.  New entries will be created fresh using ArcGIS Experience Builder tools to create polygon(s) for each resource and then enter associated attribute data directly.
