Description:

Information in this layer originates from the API for the USFWS's IPaC (Information for Planning and Consultation) tool. The API is queried using TIGER county boundaries from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2021 American Community Survey (ACS). The information stored provides a summary of selected IPaC fields and is not a complete representation of an IPaC report. This data set provides EHP staff with a quick summary of the IPaC information in a county for situational awareness, but is not intended to replace the IPaC tool for detailed EHP reviews. Furthermore, the county-level results in this data set could provide extraneous information compared to running IPaC for a specific location.

There are several fields in the data set that match the main sections returned from an IPaC report (e.g.: Populations, Marine Mammals, Migratory Birds). There are also fields "Update Date" (date field) and "Timestamp" (string field) to document the time (UTC time zone) when the data were retrieved from IPaC.

This originated from the US Census Bureau TIGER boundary files from the 2021 American Community Survey (ACS). Several extraneous fields were removed and fields were added to identify the state. The geometry was generalized by a tolerance of 10 meters to speed up processing and online streaming.
