Description: Los datos comprenden los límites territoriales de los Municipios para la Isla de Puerto Rico. Los mismos son establecidos por la Junta de Planificación mediante la Ley 68 del 7 de mayo de 1945, Ley de Mapas de Límites Territoriales de los Municipios y Barrios de Puerto Rico. La fuente utilizada como base para realizar los mismos fue los Cuadrángulos Topográficos.

The original data from was from 2015 and it was revised on November 16, 2017 by the Puerto Rico Management and Budget Office.
In December 1, 2020 the layer of Barrio was modified to only have the 78 Municipios therefor Desecheo and Mona Island were remove from the layer.
The Municipio boundary was created by dissolving the barrio boundary by Municipio.
