NPP_Distance_Range_Rings (FeatureServer)

View In:   Map Viewer

Service Description: This layer estimates the approximate 2 mi, 5 mi, 10 mi, and 50 mi distance from an operating commercial nuclear power facility in the United States. Geodesic buffers were created at the listed distances from operating nuclear power facility sites as listed at the following REST Service: https://gis.fema.gov/arcgis/rest/services/Partner/Operating_Nuclear_Power_Plant_Sites/FeatureServer/0. Where plants are within a half mile of each other, a halfway point between the two sites was determined and the distance rings are from that point. This affects Nine Mile Point/James A Fitzpatrick plants and Salem/Hope Creek plants. Distance rings updated August 1, 2022. These are not official boundaries and should be treated as approximations. Please consult the local or state program for more information.
