This layer contains Land Cover classifications for Aotearoa/New Zealand sourced from Manaaki Whenua. This layer shows generalised locations of land cover and provides information on the type of land cover between 1996 and 2018.
This layer was created using the most recent version of the Land Cover Database (LCDB v5.0). The data in this layer has been diced to have a maximum of 50000 vertices while maintaining the original shape and then simplified using the Retain Critical Points method with a simplification tolerance of 15 metres.
