Description: This shapefile details the historical shoreline of the San Francisco Bay. These historical shoreline data were researched and published by the San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) (EcoAtlas ver 1.5, 1998). We have incorporated the EcoAtlas data into this map. Please note that during the mechanical transfer of the data, minor shifts in the lines may have occurred. (See process description.) Should questions arise we direct the user to the original EcoAtlas GIS file, available from SFEI (www.sfei.org).
