Description: These points represent the general locations of Board of Water Resources water projects. This feature class includes past and current projects. The projects number approximately 1748, but many of them are phases of the same project, or follow up work on the same project. Often, when an organization obtains more funding from the Board of Water Resources, it is assigned a new project number for that new funding part. Many locations are based off of township, range, and section from PLSS. Some locations are based on the project location description. Other locations are based on aerial imagery interpretation, or project maps. While projects are represented as points, the types of projects can be dams, pipelines, water tanks, canals, fish ladders, meters, etc.
