From Palinspastic Restoration of the Bonneville and Provo Shorelines in the Bonneville Basin, UT, NV, and ID:

This study uses modern digital elevation models (DEMs) along with existing Bonneville and Provo shoreline elevation measurements to palinspastically restore the landscape

to its vertical position at the times these two shorelines were forming. The new data products produced in the study include a raster portraying the magnitude of rebound associated with the Bonneville shoreline as well as DEMs with the rebound associated with the Bonneville and Provo shorelines removed and derivative contours

that more accurately trace the paths of these two shorelines on the ground. These products are useful in not only making more accurate maps, lake-surface area estimates,

and lake-volume estimates at discrete times, they can also be used to correct the elevations of dating samples and more confidently identify the locations of lacustrine deposits

and landforms related to the Bonneville and Provo lake stands for further study.
