Description:

This layer shows where Clean Water State Revolving Funds have been invested across the United States and territories.

What projects are included?

• All projects included in the SRF Clean Water Assistance Agreement Reports – with adequate locational data – are displayed on the map. To view all projects available in the Assistance Agreement Reports, visit the SRF Reports section of the public portal.
• The SRF Reports section includes all projects that were active during July 1, 2020-June 30, 2024. An “active” project means there was some activity on the project loan. For example, the map displays SRF projects that began or were amended (such as money added or taken away, also known as deobligations) since 2020.

Location Data:

Project locations are shown as points on the map, representing the general location of a project. These points should not be interpreted as precise project locations. To help with possible misinterpretation, a zoom extent is enabled. When zoomed in beyond a certain point, the project points will disappear from the map and will reappear when zoomed back out.

In instances when more than one project is located at the same point, the user will see a number displayed on top of the point indicating the number of projects at that location.

• Clean Water SRF Location Data: The project point locations shown on the map use state-provided project locational data (longitude and latitude) and, as such, the locational data has not been confirmed by the EPA. Only projects that have available latitude and longitude data are displayed on the map. Non-point source projects often fall into this category, and therefore are underrepresented on this map. However, information on these projects are still available within the SRF Reports section of the portal. Finally, longitude and latitude locations serve as a general proxy for Clean Water SRF project locations and do not display the entire extent of the project benefits.

• Projects included in this map are obtained from the SRF Reports section of the SRF Public Portal and are updated annually.
