Service Description: This feature layer shows 2022 county-level emissions estimates for certain pollutants that will assist with designations efforts for the 2024 Revised Annual PM2.5 NAAQS. Emissions estimates were produced using EPA's 2022v1 Emissions Modeling Platform.

Description: This feature layers contains county-level emissions estimates of certain pollutants that will assist with designations efforts for the 2024 Revised Annual PM2.5 NAAQS.  Emissions estimates were produced using EPA's 2022v1 Emissions Modeling Platform.  The 2022 Emissions Modeling Platform is based on the 2020 National Emissions Inventory released in the spring of 2023, with updates to better represent the year 2022.

**NOTE:** At present, ammonia fertilizer emissions are not final, and still represent 2020. The 2022 emissions will be computed in September 2024.

The pollutants included in this dataset include: Ammonia (NH3), Nitrogen Oxides (NOX), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Elemental Carbon portion of PM2.5 Primary (EC), Organic Carbon portion of PM2.5 Primary (OC), Nitrate portion of PM2.5 Primary (PNO3), Sulfate portion of PM2.5 Primary (PSO4), and Remaining PMFINE portion of PM2.5 Primary (PMFINE).
