Service Description: This is a feature layer containing the results of SWIFT's June 2026 Hurricane Frequency Analysis that includes counts of unique storms passing through a grid cell whereby the maximum storm strength category for each unique storm in each unique grid cell was counted.
The attribute table includes a total storm count, a total count of each hurricane category, and grouped totals of hurricane counts (cat 1-5) and tropical system counts (tropical storms and tropical depressions) per grid cell.
The symbology is showing the frequency of Hurricanes (cats 1-5) occurring in each cell, Again, each unique storm is counted only once and categorized according to the maximum strength of its storm track that occurred in the cell.
This data comes from the Federal User Community's Historical Hurricane Tracks feature layer, last updated on April 15, 2026.
