Description: Since Dec. 22, 2019, EPA has collected soil and groundwater samples from numerous locations near the site. As of Jan. 15, 2020, EPA has collected 21 soil boring samples and 8 surface soil samples. Four permanent monitoring wells and 25 temporary monitoring wells were installed. Six water samples were collected from the storm sewer and catch basins near the facility and the outlet to Bear Creek. Michigan EGLE has collected additional samples from storm sewers and from Bear Creek. Samples were analyzed for contaminants of concern, including chromium (trivalent and hexavalent), trichloroethylene (TCE) and cyanide.
Lab results are being uploaded to EPA's Scribe.net subscription service then published via a dynamic SQL spatial view. Lab results are upload via an electronic data deliverable.
