Description: In support of the 2017 National Emissions Inventory (NEI) development for livestock source categories, EPA has assembled a database of animal counts for review by state, local, and tribal (SLT) programs. To help facilitate that review, county-level maps of livestock populations for the key livestock categories of beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, poultry-broilers and poultry-layers have been developed. These maps provide both the 2017 draft livestock population estimates as well as maps that illustrate the change in populations relative to the 2014 NEIv2 livestock populations.
