Description: This map displays the levels of lead and arsenic found in surface soils at Operable Unit 2 at the Colorado Smelter Superfund site. This data was collected from 2018 to 2020 using an incremental composite sampling approach, where the Operable Unit is divided into 1-acre Decision Units.
This map was developed by US EPA Region 8 and was
designed for use in EPA Region 8’s Colorado Smelter Story Map to allow
community members to learn more about the work being done at the site.
