The tribal areas, counties and states, including only those jurisdictions relevant to BEACH ACT Beaches, are generalized subsets of their larger datasets.

The Tribal Areas, Counties and States are generalized subsets of their larger datasets specific to areas containing BEACH ACT Beaches. Beach lines are provided to EPA by States and Tribes. Monitoring Stations near beach lines are extracted from the Water Quality Portal.
These layers are not intended to be used in isolation, but instead were designed to be viewed through the BEACON web mapping application at https://beacon.epa.gov/ords/beacon2/r/beacon_apex/beacon2/map-page.
