Service Description: A district heat network is a system of insulated pipes that delivers heat from a central source (an energy centre) to multiple buildings for space heating and hot water. Instead of each building having its own boiler or heat pump, heat is produced or recovered centrally and distributed as hot water or steam. This layer shows existing (operational) district heat networks (line features only) for schemes that have been shared with the Greater London Authority.
