Description: This map shows areas of mountain top removal in a coal mining area that are larger than 40 acres. This data was derived from landsat images, each image analyzed by a member of the group and compiled to form one area. All polygons smaller than 40 acres, streams, roads, and clouds were filtered out. Accuracy was checked by placing a number of random points around the image area and then clarifying if the point was MTR or nonMTR.
