Description: The Infrastructure Management Program (IMP) is a five-year rolling program which focuses on the maintenance of San Antonio’s Infrastructure. Service needs are identified city wide and are scheduled for street maintenance, alley maintenance, drainage maintenance, sidewalks, traffic signals, pavement markings and Advanced Transportation District (ATD) related projects.
Sidewalks Program
The goal of the Sidewalk Program is to enhance the connectivity and usability of the sidewalk network through the construction of sidewalks where gaps exist, and the repair of existing sidewalk sections that are deemed hazardous to pedestrians. Sidewalk projects are constructed annually throughout the city to help make San Antonio a more "pedestrian friendly" community for citizens. In Fiscal Year 2018, Public Works developed a new Project Selection and Prioritization Criteria which prioritizes the completion of gaps in areas that are in close proximity to schools, transit access, health facilities and where new sidewalks may promote public health and equity.
