2. Medium Priority for bikeways – Minimum level of dedicated infrastructure for all NM highways; more than minimum level desired if roadway is high-speed and/or high-volume road.

3. Low Level Priority for bikeways – Bikeway infrastructure not required.

5. Tier 2 Basic Medium Priority for bikeways – No dedicated infrastructure due to limited right-of-way, environmental or challenging topography; signage and motorist awareness techniques desired.

6. Interstates. Must follow interstate design standards.
