Service Description: This feature contains 3 traffic data items from the NMDOT Traffic Monitoring Program: Single Unit AADT, Combination (or Commercial) Unit AADT, and AADT for the year 2025.
This data was taken from a historical copy of the RIS (Roadway Inventory System) LRS feature layer of TrafficSection.
Use: This data is one of the most widely used data sets at the NMDOT. Primarily this data is generated to meet FHWA- HPMS requirements and if you want more data (K-factors, D-Factors, Future AADT, Peak percents, etc) please reach out to Traffic Monitoring instead. They will be able to give you more data on NMDOT or major city roads.
Guidance: These various traffic items are collected based on Travel Monitoring Guide (TMG) and Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) field guide standards.
