This dataset represents the intersection of Census Block Groups with a 30-meter fishnet grid of six counties in Southern California (Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura), populated with 103 measures to support multibenefit Greenprint reporting across the following themes:
- Agriculture and Working Lands (AG)
- Built Environment (BE)
- Climate Vulnerabilities and Resilience (RR)
- Environmental Justice, Equity, and Inclusion (EQ)
- Habitat and Biodiversity (CN)
- Water Resources (WA)
- General (GN)
Each attribute starts with the two-letter code of its theme. These data are suitable for a range of multibenefit planning considerations including housing, conservation, climate resilience, and others. Because the data have been derived from a wide range of public sources, the measures have a variety of levels of accuracy, fully documented in methods documentation produced by The Nature Conservancy in 2022. This CBG data from the fishnet is recommended for early- and mid-stage planning, comparing options or rapidly assessing opportunities or risks in small or large areas. It is not intended for survey-level or highly accurate analysis at the parcel or sub-parcel level.
