Description: The pipeline company Plains All American, based out of Houston, TX, experienced a pipeline rupture on May 19, 2015. The rupture occured 20 miles North of Santa Barbara, near Refugio State Beach. A total of 101,000 gallons leaked from the pipeline, and over 21,000 gallons traveled through a culvert where the crude traveled to the beach and spilled into the ocean.
