Description: California wells that are located in pools (geologically isolated zones) that use hydraulic fracturing and other stimulation techniques to assist production are shown. The stimulation probabilities for the pools have been assigned to the wells.
The dataset was created by limiting the dataset of California wells to those with production and/or injection data since 2013. Stimulation probabilities for pools (developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as part of the California Council on Science and Technology's Well stimulation report) were then applied to the well records.
