Description: Wells that are actively producing or injecting fluids between January 2013-July 2016 that are also located in pools (geologically isolated zones) that use hydraulic fracturing and other stimulation techniques to assist production.
The dataset was created by limiting the dataset of California wells to those with production and/or injection data since 2013. Stimulation probabilities for pools (developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as part of the California Council on Science and Technology's Well stimulation report) were then applied to the well records.
