Description: This map layer contains all well sites identified as hydraulically fractured. The data comes from two sources, both the DOGGR well site database and the SkyTruth database which aggregates the wellsites reported to FracFocus.org. The two datasets were merged and duplicate wellsites were removed, based on API number. A total of 1,205 wellsites flagged as hydraulically fractured in the DOGGR database (with lat/lon data) combined with the SkyTruth database of 898 cases, yielded a dataset of 1,442 cases of well sites with a unique API number. These results show that FracFocus identifies 237 well sites as hydraulically fractured, wich DOGGR does not.
