Description: A Gas Storage Well is a well that used to store natural gas until such time as it is needed to supply gas when demand is high. Conversion of a field from production to storage duty takes advantage of existing wells, gathering systems, and pipeline connections. The status of each well is indicated. New wells are those that have been drilled and developed but are not yet producing or "active". For more information on the DOGGR dataset, download this Microsoft word document.
